Privacy Policy
Policy version 2026-10-draft
Our full Privacy Policy is being finalized and will be published here soon. In the meantime, here is a plain summary of what our sites do and don’t collect.
Which sites this covers
This policy covers samebrainproductions.com and learntopaintgood.com (our show Learn To Paint Good). Both are run by Same Brain Productions.
No cookies
Neither site sets cookies, and we don’t use advertising pixels or tracking scripts. That’s why you won’t see a cookie pop-up. (Our team’s private admin pages use a sign-in cookie; visitors never get one.)
What we do collect
- Contact forms: the name, email address and message you send us. On samebrainproductions.com we also keep your IP address to help us block spam; messages our filters flag as likely spam are deleted after 30 days. On Learn To Paint Good, messages to Redd and Fizzie are emailed straight to our team.
- Spam protection: the Contact pages use Cloudflare Turnstile to check that a real person is sending the form. Cloudflare receives technical signals such as your IP address and browser details for this check only; see the Turnstile Privacy Addendum. It isn’t loaded on any other page.
- Mailing list (Learn To Paint Good): your email address, the name you give us (optional) and your IP address when you sign up. We email you to confirm first; sign-ups that aren’t confirmed within 48 hours are deleted. Every email has an unsubscribe link.
- “Notify me” requests (Learn To Paint Good store): your name, email address, the item you asked about and your IP address (to block spam). We use them only to tell you when that item is available.
- Videos: episodes are embedded from YouTube in its privacy-enhanced mode, so YouTube doesn’t use cookies to track you unless you play a video. Once you do, Google’s Privacy Policy applies.
- Fonts: our pages load their fonts from Google Fonts (samebrainproductions.com) and Adobe Fonts (learntopaintgood.com). Your browser contacts them to download the fonts, which shares your IP address and browser details with them. They don’t set cookies.
- Business-card QR codes: when someone scans one of our cards, we count which card it was and the device type (iPhone, Android or other). Nothing that identifies you.
- Server logs: like most websites, our hosting provider keeps standard technical logs of requests to our sites.
